1. Information we handle
Depending on how you use the site, we may handle:
- member names, display names, usernames, and team names;
- league, roster, draft, matchup, score, standings, ranking, projection, and league-history data;
- photos or other profile or league content that a member chooses to provide;
- authentication information, such as an account identifier, sign-in status, and session information. A third-party authentication provider may handle the underlying credentials; and
- basic technical and security logs, such as IP address, browser or device type, request time, error data, and activity used to operate and protect the site.
Some league information—such as names or usernames, team information, rosters, matchups, scores, rankings, history, and voluntarily provided photos—may appear on public-facing league pages. Members should not submit content they do not want displayed to site visitors.
2. Special protection for member email addresses
Member email addresses must remain private and are visible only to the commissioner or an authorized site administrator. They are not displayed publicly or made visible to other league members through the site.
Email addresses may be used only for authentication, account recovery, league invitations, essential league or site notices, support, security, and administration. We do not sell or rent email addresses, display them publicly, use them for advertising, or use them for unrelated marketing.
3. How information is used
Information is used to operate and administer the league hub; authenticate members; import or display league data; provide matchups, rankings, projections, stories, and history; respond to support or correction requests; diagnose errors; maintain security; and send essential league or site communications.
4. Service providers and third-party services
We may use service providers to host, secure, authenticate, maintain, or support the site. Sleeper may supply league data, and ChatGPT/OpenAI tools may assist with site features or content. These services process information under their own terms and privacy practices. We share only information reasonably needed for the relevant service or integration and do not authorize providers to use member email addresses for our advertising or unrelated marketing.
5. Retention
We keep information while it is reasonably needed to operate the league and site, maintain league history, administer accounts, resolve disputes, enforce rules, or address security and legal obligations. Information may then be deleted or de-identified when reasonably practical. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups or security records.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate for a small private-league site. No internet transmission, account, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Members should protect their sign-in credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
7. Correction and deletion requests
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, contact the commissioner through the league’s established private Sleeper chat and label the message “Privacy Request.” This provides a private contact method without publishing a personal email address. We may need to verify the requester’s identity. Some information may be retained when reasonably required for security, league recordkeeping, technical backup, dispute resolution, or applicable legal obligations.
8. Children
The site is intended for adult members of this private league and is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit personal information for a child under 13. If you believe such information was provided, contact the commissioner through the league’s private Sleeper chat so it can be reviewed and, when appropriate, removed.
9. Policy changes
We may update this policy as the site or league changes. The revised policy will be posted here with a new last-updated date. Material changes may also be announced through the league’s usual private communication channel.
